Appointment types
When booking it's important to let me know what appointment type you're looking for.
-Custom design - This is the most common appointment type. Anything beyond the other appointment types will fall under this.
-Flash design - This is for my pre-drawn designs available in my instagram highlights.
-Group booking - If theres a group of lovely folks looking to book please elect one person to reach out and handle the groups booking.
-Multiple pieces - This is pretty straight forward, if you're looking for more than one piece this is the one for you.
-Touch up - Again this one is also pretty straight forward. If I've done a piece for you and its looking less than its best please reach out to book. i always want the art I put on you to make you happy and would deeply appreciate the chance to do that for you again.
-Freckles - Freckles are the only cosmetic booking I offer. This appointment has a flat rate and includes one follow up appointment
Little Heart Club
This booking type is specific. It was created as a way to assist fine folks on their journey to self acceptance and love. Inspired by my amazing husband the LHC (little heart club) was created as a first step in my tattoo journey. One evening during a conversation about life and what my first real tattoo should be I had said something horrible about myself, very normal for me to put myself down at the time. I guess after a few years of hearing this my husband had had enough and sharply yet calmly came back with "could you just fucking love yourself a little". This was so startling, my partner is a mild kind of guy. I knew he was right and I knew immediately why he was tired. We spoke about how he had been so frustrated not knowing how to start this conversation with me but wanting better for me. Then I started to realize how awful I had been to myself and how I truly needed to change something, anything, if it were going to get better. I decided then the first tattoo I would ever put on real skin would be a little heart, on the palm of my hand as a small reminder to just love myself already.
Each heart is hand drawn so that it's personalized to every individual for their specific journey.

Explaining the appointment type you're after will help me book you in faster.
Please do your best to be as detailed as possible when booking in order for me to book you as fast and as efficiently as possible.

Pricing
Please note that all pricing will have the addition of HST
-My hourly rate is $120/hr with a one hour minimum.
-My booking fee is my hour minimum, $120 +HST. - Since bookings are an hour minimum it just makes sense to make the booking fee that price. Why do I call this a booking fee and not a deposit? I consider this fee to cover the cost of your first hour but as well the cost of the booking and design process. There are hours of work that go into your pieces behind the scenes and thats also why your booking fee is non-refundable.
Little heart club - This appointment type comes at a flat rate of $50 +HST.
Freckles - This is a cosmetic appointment and comes in a flat rate of $150 +HST.
Set up/Touch ups - Touch up appointments have a set up fee of $50 +HST
No show fee - This fee applies when you've no showed an appointment but still want to book again to get your piece. You will be required to pay a second booking fee as well as a $60 +HST no show fee.
Fixed pricing - Some areas and styles take longer, some things take several appointments. I dont enjoy feeling rushed so I would rather give you a set price so I'm able to take the time I need without breaking your bank.

Policies and practices
-I DO NOT tattoo below the age of 18. This is non negotiable and for many reasons.
-15 mins late is considered a no show- You are welcome to rebook your appointment there will of course be an additional fee along with a second booking fee. However, if I do not hear from you within a weeks time of your no show your art will become forfeit. If you are simply running late please communicate with me ASAP. If I'm able to wait I will, I want to tattoo you.
-The 3 strike policy - If you reschedule, redesign or no show (or any combination of) 3 times within a single booking I will no longer be taking your booking.
-I will NOT show you your art ahead of time - It's shop policy and personal policy not to for many reasons. If you have concerns I would be more than happy to discuss them with you and at time of appointment if you aren't happy with the design I am able to make small changes but if I have to do a large amount of redrawing we may need to reschedule.
-Booking fee's are none refundable - Refunds of any kind are rare. At the end of the day I still took whatever time with you to discuss an appointment, design your piece and in some cases lost product setting up to have some folks no show. I want you to be happy with your piece, if theres issues please feel free to reach out. I want to make sure you love what I've done for you and would appreciate the chance to make sure of that.
-Rescheduling your appointment - I require 48 hours notice for rescheduling your appointment, this ensures I have at least a small window to try and fill the space I originally held for you. If you need to reschedule but don't know when you'll be available you are allowed to ask to contact me in the near future with some possible dates, you have a three month window to reach out again. If you do not reach out within three months time or fail to give me 48 hours notice your booking fee will be forfeit.
-Silent appointment - When booking you are absolutely allowed to ask for a silent appointment. Feeling obliged to make small talk can be exhausting. I want my clients to know their comfort comes first and I want to do everything I can to accommodate that.
-Placement changes - When booking you are required to choose at least a rough placement and should you decide to move that piece we may need to reschedule. Different areas of the body take different amounts of time even if the design stays the same. When you reach out to book I ask all the questions I need answered to know how long to book you for and if your placement changes I may not have enough time in the day any longer. Please try to let me know as soon as possible if you are needing to make any changes to your appointment.
-You or someone close to you is ill -If you or someone in your house has become ill ( i.e. your kids, partner or maybe roommate) please don't risk mine or my shop mates health and reach out to reschedule.
-You are REQUIRED to tell me if this is a cover up -Cover ups take more time and a lot more careful planning. If you dont let me know ahead of time your appointment will be cancelled and your booking fee will be forfeit.
-Yes, you can use numbing cream - HOWEVER, I do prefer one brand be used and require a heads up for this as well. Numbing cream can make the skin a bit more difficult to work with and you will need a longer appointment slot.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of the policies or practices please feel free to email your questions.
Take Care
This section will cover week before care, day of and aftercare.
Week Before
There are several things you can do the week before to help your body prepare for your new tattoo.
Be sure to get plenty of sleep and eat well this week, this can help the body bounce back especially after larger pieces as well as the pain of getting a tattoo. Do be sure to exfoliate the area during the week as well as lotion after. This helps the skin's healing process as well makes the process a bit faster.
Appointment Day
Please be sure to have eaten, showered and lotion'd at least an hour before appointment time, no later. Please feel free to bring a blanket, snacks and a drink, appointments can last some time and I want you to be as comfortable as possible.
Aftercare
The first 24-48 hours you will preferably have your tegaderm bandage on (if it comes off its ok! just keep it uncovered and keep it clean).
Once the bandage comes off/ 24 hours later, you're clear to wash your new tattoo. You'll need/use warm water, unscented soap (either Aveeno or Dove are good brands to use) and paper towel. First rinsing the tattoo then lathering the soap between both hands then gently lathering the area, making sure not to apply the soap directly. Same goes for when rinsing, being sure to let the water hit the area above the new piece letting the water run down to rinse. Once thoroughly rinsed pat dry with paper towel, avoiding fibre towels for the remainder of the first week. Please repeat this care for the first week of your new tattoo.
I do not recommend applying lotion to your new tattoo
I have personally had fantastic results from dry healed tattoo's.
